Reconciliation Team
Reconcilliation Style Workshop – September 15th
WHAT: This interactive workshop explores and identifies different styles people use in conflict situations.
There will be a discussion of the appropriate application of each style. Participants will identify their own tendencies and preferred styles for dealing with conflicts.
REGISTRATION: Call the church office – 330-725-4559 to register by September 10th to reserve your copy of the text, “Discover Your Conflict Style” by Spead B. Leas
COST: $7.50 at the door.
WHY: It seems that everyone today experiences conflict in their lives – at home, places of business, in their neighborhoods,
communities and more. Sometimes events that begin as minor disagreements explode into major conflicts that
can destroy relationships and cause widespread suffering and division.
But conflict doesn’t have to rip us apart. When we understand our own reactions and those of others, it’s possible
that conflicts can provide better solutions to problems, build bridges between people and strengthen existing relationships.
WHO: This short, 90-minute workshop provides insights into the nature of conflict and is recommended for anyone
dealing with groups of people. Leaders of teams in business, churches, education, service organizations and other groups
will find self-discovery and possible tools which will be useful when conflict inevitably occurs.
LEADER: Workshop will be conducted by the Reverend D. Gene Kraus, an ordained UCC interim minister and member of Medina United Church of Christ, Congregational. He is a congregational consultant and has extensive experience managing conflict in churches and teaching reconciliation skills.
