Mission Trips
Through mission and friendship trips we extend our witness to the good news of Jesus beyond the Medina community and build relationships across cultures. Mission trips can often be times of personal growth and transformation as we work together to serve our sisters and brothers in need.

In recent years the youth have travelled to Kentucky, Washington D.C. and West Virginia. This past summer they traveled to San Jose, Costa Rica. This past spring fifteen members of the United Church of Christ, Congregational family traveled to Biloxi, Mississippi, to assist Back Bay Mission in their efforts to continue the rebuilding after Hurricane Katrina. The trip to Back Bay Mission has become an annual event. We are planning to return in March 2011.
Adult/Family Trip to Costa Rica – Plans are in the works for a trip in June 2011
The United Church of Christ, Congregational returned this past June to Alajuelita, Costa Rica, to continue its work with the Christian Center of Alabanza (CCA). Our congregation’s first trip was in 2009, when we made new friends and were deeply impressed with the impact CCA is making in their community. We plan to return again next summer to build a simple house of mercy for a family in San Jose.
